My experience connects hands-on application development with technical leadership, integration and business-focused solution design.
From development to cross-system problem solving
I first worked with Drupal in 2008, delivering web and business application projects for charities, education, healthcare and corporate organisations. My work expanded into CRM integration, authentication, learning platforms, operational support and technical decisions involving several teams and suppliers.
Experience
Institute and Faculty of Actuaries
I first joined in July 2016 and returned as a contractor in November 2019. My work has included Drupal applications and process automation, DNN functionality, Dynamics integration and connected learning systems.
In 2022, I advised on and configured SAML single sign-on from one identity provider to five service providers, including two content management systems and a Totara learning platform. I continue to maintain and support SSO across all the connected systems.
My relationship with the IFoA team spans more than ten years. I have valued working with kind, supportive colleagues and am grateful to the senior and project managers who gave me opportunities to collaborate and contribute to OPSR meetings. OPSR oversees the migration to new systems; my contribution has included requirements, user stories and technical input, drawing on the experience we have built together supporting existing services.

NDP and earlier agency work
My earlier work covered Drupal consultancy, custom modules, integrations, migration, training and support. At NDP I also took responsibility for a staff appraisal and performance-management initiative.
Technical leadership grounded in delivery
I combine code-level investigation with support for other developers and practical advice on implementation. My contribution includes explaining technical dependencies, sharing knowledge and helping teams make decisions that fit the service they need to deliver.

Application delivery and operational support
I designed and built an authenticated exam-results delivery system using ASP.NET, Razor, HTML and C#, delivering approximately 6,000 results files per release in under 30 minutes. I also built queues for CRM transaction updates. I have supported both Integra and Dynamics alongside Drupal and .NET applications with team colleagues.

Technology in business context
I hold an MBA with Merit from the University of East London. My dissertation on working with suppliers received Distinction. It informs how I consider business processes, supplier relationships and operational costs alongside implementation.
I also volunteer on Drupal.org reviewing security-related work, investigating whether reported issues apply to particular implementations and considering how changes preserve existing functionality.
